Beer Taster Night II - Boundary Brewing

Beer Taster Night II - Boundary Brewing

21 January 2016 by Matthew Grainger

Tying in with the Love Local theme of February in the NITB NI Year Of Food & Drink calendar, Brunel’s in Newcastle is teaming up with Belfast’s Boundary Brewing and Prohibition Drinks for another in its successful season of beer taster nights.

The blossoming trend of partnering great craft beer with restaurant cuisine is going from strength to strength here in Northern Ireland. Following the phenomenal success of our last beer taster menu in November, accompanied by the charismatic Sam from Berkshire's awesome Siren Craft Brew, we just had to do another one, and our next port of call is a lot closer to home.

Boundary Brewing of Belfast has been causing a major stir on NI's exploding craft beer scene for some time now, not just as the first ever NI cooperative brewery, but also with their expanding portfolio of seriously delicious brews. We are delighted that Matthew and his team will be joining us here at Brunel's for a special one off menu created by Paul, which will, as always, only use the very best in local, seasonal ingredients in deliciously innovative setting . Matthew will be talking us through his ales, and the reasons behind  the pairings with each of Paul's brand new dishes - there's no doubt this will be yet another memorable evening of great food and beer.

Ably facilitated and compèred by our craft beer curator Felicia from Prohibition, this special evening will take place at 8pm on Thursday 25th February, and we're sure it will prove very popular with the craft beer connoisseurs of NI, so book your table early to avoid disappointment. The four course meal will be just £40pp, inclusive of flight of Boundary beers, plus Brunel's famous bespoke beer snacks! If you book before 31st January, the evening will be available at a special discounted "early bird" price of just £35 pp. We will also be running a bus service from, and returning to, Brewbot Belfast for the evening, for £50 inclusive of the meal - this will leave at 7pm. Tables can be booked through our website, and further menu details plus other info will be appearing on our FB and Twitter feeds over the coming weeks. So, its Cheers for the Beers, and All Hail to the Ale! See you on the 25th!
